| New Verne Q. Powell/Sonare open hole pro flute
MODEL # SF77BGF
By partnering with one of the world's top flute makers,
Verne Q. Powell flutes
and well-known German manufacturer
Schreiber-Keilwerth,
Sonaré is able to offer professional quality
at affordable prices.
Through these partnerships,
Sonaré obtains high value,
handmade instrument components
that are critical for acoustical quality.
Thus, Sonaré flutes feature bodies
made at Powell Flutes
using their new patented
Zinki™ technology and handmade
Powell Signature headjoints.
Both the body and the headjoint are made
at Powell's Massachusetts workshop.
Every Sonaré instrument goes through a strict quality inspection
and adjustment process by world class Sonaré technicians.
“The Sonaré flute has a rich and projecting sound
with all the possibilities of changing colors.
It is a perfect instrument to start with
and to become a professional flutist.”
Raffaele Trevisani
Moscow Chamber Orchestra

Every Sonaré flute is shipped with a
Verne Q. Powell Flute Signature headjoint
made completely of sterling silver.
These headjoints are made at the Powell shop
by the same headjoint makers who create the headjoints
for Powell’s Handmade Custom flutes.
Powell Flutes have been made in the Boston area since 1927
and have always been known for
“The Powell Sound”
which, in large part, comes from headjoints
made by the incredibly skilled headjoint makers at the shop.
The Powell headjoint and scale assure that Sonaré flutes bear a strong family resemblance to Powell Flutes.
The scale of a flute is determined primarily
by the placement and the size of the holes
on the body tube.
Using Powell’s patented Zinki technology,
every Sonaré body is made at the Powell shop
with the Modern Powell Scale —
exactly the same scale used on the Powell Signature
and Conservatory instruments.
