New Keilwerth Hard Rubber Alto Mouthpiece, 6*
An older style alto mouthpiece made by Keilwerth, very Meyer like, in a 6* facing.
This one has a long, very mild baffle and a round chamber which should produce a nice,
warmer sound quality.
No cap or ligature included.
This mouthpiece speaks clearly and with authority.
It is the mouthpiece that ships with the $6,000 Keilwerth sax.
Not sure if it can be obtained otherwise.
The 3-step shoulder of the mouthpiece reminds me of some Runyon-made mouthpieces.
But I haven't see any Runyons with high baffles like this one.
The baffle is very much like the Vandoren Jumbo Jazz mouthpiece.
If you are worried that your alto isn't projecting enough to be heard, try this one.
The tip opening is a respectable 0.100"
