New dc pro series II silver andamp; gold tenor sax List Price: $2,580.00
because of the fact that silver bonds to the brass, it expands and contracts at the same ratio, thereby giving a much darker and richer tone than ordinary lacquered instruments. The sound is reminiscent of the vintage jazz age of the 40s, whereas ordinary lacquer restricts the vibration and produces a thinner sound.

i have been playing the sax professionally for 35 years. The last gig that i played was for former president clinton at a fund raiser for senator kennedy in boston with the john payne saxophone choir. I have been repairing saxophones for almost 23 years. When i played this sax i could not put it down. I like it better than any selmer that i have ever played including the mark vi. It has a huge sound, a more even timbre, the altissimo and subtones were very easy to sound, and yet the tone is warm and full bodied. It is a combination between the projection and brilliance of a mark vi sound and the fullness and body of a king super 20 with the smooth action of the super action 80. Many peope ask me, andnbsp;even other people in the music business tell me to raise the price so people will not think it is poor quality. The reason the price is so low is because i arranged with the factory to buy five hundred instruments at a time and pay cash for them. The factory gives me a low price and i pass that savings on to my customers. Every one we sell has a ten day trial with option to return with a full refund. Dc pro series ii is engaged in one ongoing pursuit - perfecting the saxophone. By focusing its attention on each individual part and on the distinctive systems of each instrument, it strives to expand the instruments tonal range, perfect its intonation and refine its ergonomics. Improvements come from melding cutting-edge technology and old-fashioned craftsmanship, while integrating the players participation as a vital link in the design process.

I learned flute making while working for William S. Haynes flute company in Boston.
They make flutes that start at $8,500.00
My job was to solder the tone holes on these flutes...
Which was a very critical job and had to be perfect to assure perfect intonation.
I was very fortunate to have first hand experience in flute making while working there.
So I decided to make my own flutes, saxophones, clarinets, trumpets, french horns and trombones.
